Hands on Workshops was set up in 2012 with support from The Arts Council of Northern Ireland and CraftNI in 2013. Our aim was to offer weekends with a difference. Have you ever thought of weaving a basket or forging a poker? Here’s a chance to learn traditional skills.
For more information please phone Clive on 028 4277 1542 or 07732 600 907
We have gathered some great tutors to share their wealth of skills and experience with you.
Each event will be a little different with a menu of options for workshops and extra attractions.
Current 2014 weekend dates are:
- 2nd and 3rd of August, Portaferry
- 27th of September, Portaferry
There is an option to camp on both sites or we can help with local accommodation providers. A wholesome lunch will be provided. A dinner or a bbq weather permitting can be arranged on request.
There will be evening talks, walks and entertainment arranged on site.
Costs for the two days of workshops is £130. There will be a small materials rate charged for each workshop attended.
